Behavior Analysts of New Jersey was founded to provide behavior-analytic instruction to children with developmental disabilities, learning difficulties and social and self-management skills needs. The team at BANJ has a wealth of experience. The team’s experience includes consulting for several, and some of the largest, school districts in New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Jersey, supporting and advocating for families and their needs, building comprehensive home and center-based programs, conducting the most advanced research in the field, and providing litigation support and expert testimony.
Anjalee specializes in the treatment of behavior in children of all ages. She has more than 25 years of experience providing behavior analytic expertise to children and their families. Behavior deficit areas in which she works with most often include social, self-management, self-help, activities of daily living, academic literacy, and job prerequisite skills. She also has extensive experience in working with children diagnosed with or demonstrating symptoms of Autism, ADHD, ADD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Behavior Disorders. Her unique combination of replicating complex and progressive research in her practice within the areas of social and self-management skills, verbal behavior, and positive behavior support in schools allows her to offer great knowledge about the science of applied behavior analysis and also apply her knowledge to the problems in the context of instruction.
After graduating from Boston College, Anjalee worked with children with autism at the New England Center for Children while working on a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis. She coordinated home programs for children and worked closely with parents to develop specialized programs for daily activities, including feeding and toilet training. Anjalee earned a Masters of Education and Doctorate in Applied Behavior Analysis at Columbia University while teaching, researching and supervising at the Fred S. Keller School, a CABAS ® school, in Westchester, NY.
Anjalee's greatest areas of expertise and research involve children with verbal behavior deficit areas, motivation and establishing operations and social skills repertoires and tactics to teach them. Anjalee's research interests remain in the areas of multiple exemplar instruction, observational learning and peer modeling, relational frame theory and young children with autism and related disabilities. In addition to maintaining the practice with more than 10 other instructors and BCBAs in Denville, NJ,
Anjalee also provides school consultation to several Northern New Jersey school districts and provides supervision and mentorship to individuals in the BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), BCaBA (Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst) and RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) process.
Anjalee is a member of the Association for Behavior Analysis International, Association for Professional of Behavior Analysis, New Jersey Association for Behavior Analysis, New York State Association for Behavior Analysis and Autism New Jersey. She is a Doctoral level Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Crisis Prevention Institute ® Trainer and holds an Employment Specialist Training from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
